Plain, broom or exposed aggregate — set out, based, reinforced and jointed properly so your driveway stays flat and crack-free under real vehicle loads. Long bush runs and tight suburban blocks alike.
The finish changes the look and the price; it doesn’t change what goes on underneath. Every driveway gets the same base, steel and jointing regardless of which one you pick.
The workhorse. A light broom drag across the surface gives you grip underfoot and under tyre, hides marks well, and is the most cost-effective finish going.
Best valueSurface washed back to reveal the stone in the mix. Excellent grip, hides wear, and available in a wide range of stone and oxide blends to suit the house.
Most popularOxide added through the mix so the colour runs all the way through rather than sitting on top. Charcoals and warm greys work beautifully against dark-clad homes.
Colour throughGround back or power-trowelled to a smooth, low-sheen surface. The architectural option — best suited to covered areas and lower-traffic entries.
Architectural
Nearly every failed driveway you’ve seen failed for the same handful of reasons — and none of them are the finish. Here’s what we get right before a truck is ever booked.
Soft spots dug out, roadbase brought in and plate-compacted in layers. Concrete can only ever be as stable as what’s under it.
Mesh chaired up off the base so it sits in the slab, not on the ground, and thickness matched to what’s actually going to drive on it.
Concrete shrinks and will crack somewhere — control joints decide where. Saw-cut in the right window, at the right spacing and depth.
Set out to shed water away from the house and off the surface, with grates and strip drains built in where the levels need them.
We come out, measure up and check access, levels and drainage. You’ll get a written fixed quote with the finish and thickness spelled out.
Old surface removed, soft spots dug out, base brought in and compacted, then boxed up and set out to the finished levels.
Mesh laid and chaired, then placed, screeded, floated and finished in one hit while the crew has the whole run open.
Control joints saw-cut in the right window, forms stripped, and every offcut and washout taken off site with us.
