Foot traffic is generally fine after 24–48 hours. Keep cars off for about 7 days, and heavy vehicles, trailers, skip bins or delivery trucks off for around 28 days while it reaches full design strength. We’ll give you the exact dates for your pour before we leave site.

Yes. Demolition, breaking out the old slab, and carting the spoil away are all part of the quote — you won’t get a separate bill for it or a pile of rubble left on the nature strip.

Broom is the most economical, exposed aggregate sits above it, and coloured or honed work is higher again. The prep underneath is identical across all of them, so the difference is purely in the mix and the finishing labour. We’ll price two or three options on the same quote so you can compare properly.

Usually, yes — we can match the mix, aggregate blend and finish closely. Be aware that new concrete always cures lighter than aged concrete and takes months to settle in, so an extension will look slightly different at first even when it’s a correct match.

All concrete shrinks as it cures, so it will move somewhere — the job is to control where. Correct base, correct thickness, correctly placed steel and joints cut at the right time and spacing mean that movement lands in the joints rather than randomly across the surface.

Regularly — a lot of our work is exactly that. Steep runs need a heavier broom or exposed finish for grip, extra attention to falls and drainage, and often a staged pour. We’ll work all of that out at the site visit.
